Who / what it was designed for
First published in 2004 as Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB). Revised in 2017 as Christian Standard Bible (CSB) to improve readability and clarity. Whereas HCSB rendered YHWH as Yahweh, CSB renders this name as LORD. CSB does not capitalize pronouns referring to God (he, his, etc.) as HCSB did. Used by teenagers and adults for devotions and Bible study.
